Jumanji 3, or the direct sequel to Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle -- whatever you prefer to call it -- is now filming for its December 2019 release. The 2017 stars are back for the new as-yet-untitled movie. During a break from filming, and still in their characters' avatar outfits, Jack Black (Professor Sheldon Oberon) had co-star Karen Gillan (Ruby Roundhouse) on his Jablinski Games YouTube channel. Gillan played Crash Bandicoot while Black failed to get her to spill Avengers: Endgame spoilers. After she mentioned the game she was playing felt a little like Jumanji, Black offered some praise for Gillan's role in the new movie:

Also, I should say that Karen is kicking ass in the new Jumanji. Your character has evolved and now you've got more stuff and rad stuff to do this time. I can't say what, because that would be spoiler alerts.

Karen Gillan was flattered by the praise, and did some Britney Spears singing -- which you should watch in the video -- but she wasn't so flattered that she was willing to share Avengers: Endgame spoilers on what Nebula does next.

It's good to hear Karen Gillan's game avatar Ruby Roundhouse will have more to do in Jumanji 3. How does she evolve? Is there like a game upgrade that gives her more powers? Does she take over as leader of the group? It doesn't look like she gets a new outfit. Both Gillan and Jack Black were in the clothes we're used to seeing from their first movie. Kevin Hart also showed off a look from set showing his usual attire:

We don't know the plot of Jumanji 3 at this point, but it's bringing back most of the cast from Welcome to the Jungle. That includes Nick Jonas, plus the actors who played the high school kids. This sequel has also added Awkwafina, Danny DeVito, Danny Glover, and Dania Ramirez (so far) in mystery roles.

This is considered the third Jumanji movie because it continues the thread started with the Robin Williams Jumanji movie in 1995. His character was referenced in Welcome to the Jungle. The third movie is meant to be more tied to the second movie than the original, but they are all part of the same universe.

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle took on Star Wars: The Last Jedi in 2017 and made some major money in the process. So Jumanji 3 appears to be trying for the same trick -- it's currently scheduled to open December 19, just a few days before Star Wars: Episode IX. The Toy Story franchise seemed to reach a nice ending point with Toy Story 3, which left a lot of people shocked when it was announced that a fourth installment was on the way. Of course, if Pixar and Disney have decided not to stop with a trilogy, could that mean there are even more Toy Story movies are on the way? Tim Allen, the voice of Buzz Lightyear, says that if more sequels are on the agenda, he's certainly ready. According to Allen...

Once you've gotten to four, you're passed that trilogy [point], so I don't see any reason why they wouldn't do it, certainly. If you ask me, I'd say do five.

Toy Story 4 will be here this summer and as far as we know, it will be the last Toy Story movie, but that's what we thought about the last one. In the same way that movies tend to fit neatly into a three act structure, that structure can also be expanded so that a trilogy of films does the same thing. This is why so many successful franchises end up becoming movie trilogies.

However, for those movies that go beyond part three they frequently go even further than that. Fast and Furious is planning to do 10 films plus at least one spinoff. The Fantastic Beasts series is still looking at doing five movies.

Tim Allen tells ET that if Pixar has decided to go beyond part three for Toy Story, there's no real reason they should then stop at four.

He's not entirely crazy. Rather than being a new ending to the Toy Story franchise, it's possible that Toy Story 4 could be a new beginning. Perhaps this will be the beginning of a new trilogy and so we won't only see Toy Story 4 but 5 and 6 as well.

Of course, if that was an intentional plan, it's likely Pixar would have announced that at the time they announced Toy Story 4 in the first place. A lot of people's response to the new Toy Story movie was some flavor of "wait, why?" and if there had been a new trilogy of films announced, there's a good chance that actually would have quelled some fears. A new movie gives the impression the studio is trying to keep a successful franchise alive even after its run its course, a new trilogy implies that the story actually has someplace to go and this has all been thought through.

Pixar has always said that the story comes first and no movie would move forward if there wasn't a solid idea for a story attached. However, we also know that this idea has gone through a lot of changes and thus it's unclear just how strong the initial idea actually was. Of course, Pixar also says that the story is in flux in all of the studio's productions, so changes here, however significant, are par for the course.

What is certainly clear here is that if somebody at Pixar has an idea for Toy Story 5 that is deemed good, the idea would almost certainly be explored. As Tim Allen says, we're now past the point of trilogy so there's no reason to stop simply for the sake of claiming the story has "ended." Of course, at some point, you're going to run out of stories to tell with the same characters, so eventually we will see a final Toy Story we just may not know it when it happens.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is on a precipice, with just two more blockbusters left in Phase Three. But before the surviving heroes arm back up to take the fight to Thanos with Endgame, we'll get Carol Danver's origin story with Captain Marvel. Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck's upcoming 90's set blockbuster will greatly expand the shared universe, including familiar faces like Nick Fury, Phil Coulson, Korath and Ronan. Samuel L. Jackson's signature character will have a major presence, as Captain Marvel and the Kree War are the first superheroic entities he came across.

Fans are eager to see the pairing of Carol Danvers and Nick Fury, as her entrance was teased during the post-credits scene of Avengers: Infinity War. With the movie just weeks away, new clips and trailers have been arriving to satiate the hunger of the fandom. Check out the two Marvel heroes spar with each other verbally in the clip below.

Is it March 8th yet? This is the longest clip we've seen of Samuel L. Jackson's young Nick Fury, digitally de-aged through cutting-edge CGI. He looks picture perfect, and it's clear that Fury and Carol Danvers are going to have serious chemistry when the blockbuster arrives in a matter of weeks.

This new footage comes to us from Flicks And The City Clips, and is presumably early into Carl Danvers and Nick Fury's relationship. There was a scuffle of come sort previously, as Fury is rocking a fresh cut on his head. The two heroes try and get to know each other, and discern whether the other is a shape shifting Skrull. Carol wants Fury to tell details about his personal life, including some hilarious quirks including his first pet and even how he likes his toast cut. It's clear that the duo enjoys each other, as they banter and smile through their introductions.

The relationship between Captain Marvel and Nick Fury will presumably be an important one, as Samuel L. Jackson is billed just below Brie Larson, and is heavily featured in the film's marketing material. Fury has been largely absent in Phase Three, with the actor expressing his chagrin for being excluded from Captain America: Civil War and Black Panther. But he popped up briefly in the tail end of Infinity War, and is expected to be a major character in both Captain Marvel and Spider-Man: Far From Home.

This latest clip also shows how elusive and expansive the Skrull threat to Earth will be in Captain Marvel. Because the alien forces can change their shape, presumably anyone Carol Danvers and Nick Fury interact with could be a spy. Good thing for the title character, Nick Fury knows a think or two about being a spy. Of course, that doesn't mean that the duo will end up unscathed. Captain Marvel is expected to reveal how the S.H.I.E.L.D. favorite injured his eye, while also revealing the origin of the other returning characters.
